The United Packaging Forest

Where did it start?

United Packaging Forest was created with the idea: the global problem is too big for one company to solve alone. Therefore, a non-committal and non-profit initiative was set up to join hands together for a good cause. Together, we really DO something about the great shortage of trees instead of talking about it.

Time to take action!

Every year, we lose over 10 billion trees on our beautiful globe. And the consequences are dire: drought, climate change, poverty, food shortages and natural disasters are direct consequences of this massive deforestation of the earth. Trees are necessary for the conversion of CO2 into oxygen, provide a habitat for many animal species, serve as a food source for both humans and animals and are a place of rest and relaxation for many nature lovers. Fortunately, we are not alone and more and more nature organisations around the world are making the case for planting new trees and better protecting current forests.

The link between packaging and trees

Packaging is necessary for a livable world. Packaging reduces food waste and enables efficient transport of products. At the same time, we must ensure that packaging does not end up in the environment and roam the globe forever. Within our industry, we also owe it to ourselves to promote the responsible recycling of packaging and to look for the least harmful materials. All things we are working on every day to optimise outcomes. We see the joint goal of donating trees and forests as an extra step towards improving living conditions for people and animals.

Everyone is welcome

Joining hands for a good cause!

The partners of the United Packaging Forest care about the environment and the preservation of our habitat. This is why the United Packaging Forest works together with the Trees for All foundation. By planting trees, we jointly offset the CO2 emissions of the entire production chain. Under the motto: “Every tree helps”, we really want to make a difference with as many companies in the chain as possible. Large multinationals, individuals, customers, suppliers, employees, or other players: everyone in the packaging chain is welcome to participate.
